'Sarathi' driving licence introduced in Kerala too

Wadakkanchery: The Central Government's 'Sarathi' system, which issues driving licence, has been introduced at the Wadakkanchery sub-regional transport office also. The licence issued by motor vehicle departments of various states is now valid across the country, but when 'Sarathi' is implemented fully it would be overseeing the licensing process.

People needing learner's licence have to apply for it through the 'Sarathi' and 'Parivahan' websites of the Central Surface Transport Ministry. The original certificates of the applicants have to be scanned and submitted alongside.

All details regarding the process would be informed to the applicant as SMS in his mobile phone.
