The arrival of the first internet SUV Hector had wowed auto lovers of the country. Now, with the vehicle becoming a runaway hit, prospective buyers have to brave a long waiting period.
Actor Navya Nair has joined the long list of buyers who were smitten by the charms of the feature-rich MG Hector. Through a social media post, the actor said that the car was gifted by her brother to their parents. It is a lovely car, she added.
The MG Hector was launched by the end of June this year. Within a month of the launch, MG Motor bagged 21,000 bookings for the car, forcing the company to stop accepting bookings temporarily. A lower price tag and features that are not even seen in premium segment cars are the factors that make the MG Hector such a popular car.

The Hector comes with three engines - two petrols and one diesel. The 1.5-litre turbo charged petrol engine produces 143 ps power and 250 Nm torque.

It can churn out 173 ps power and 350 Nm torque. Apart from a six-speed manual, a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is also be available with the petrol engine.
