The supercar F8 Tributo unveiled by Ferrari at the 2019 Geneva motor show will be coming to India. The car that is likely to carry a price tag of Rs 4.02 crore could be launched in India by early next year.
As the name suggests, the mid-engine F8 Tributo pays tribute to the older Ferrari V8 Berlinetta models. The F8 Tributo uses the same 3.9-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine from the 488 supercar.
However, it has now been tuned to produce 720 bhp of power and 770 Nm of torque. The F8 Tributo can do the 0-100kph dash in just 2.9 seconds, while 0-200 kmph takes 7.8 seconds.
The supercar's top speed is 340 kmph, which makes it the fastest series production mid-engine Ferrari till date. Ferrari claims that the F8 Tributo is 40 kg lighter and has 15% more downforce than the 488.
In terms of design, the F8 Tributo looks similar to the 488 supercar; albeit with a few differentiating factors such as deeper creases, the S-duct intake at the rear, sharper headlights and the twin rear tail-light clusters.
The lights resemble those present on the 1975 308 GTB, the first eight-cylinder Berlinetta.
