Palakkad: A farmer died by suicide at Nenmara in Palakkad here on Thursday. The deceased, Soman (61) of Idiyampotta, was found hanging in his house.
As per reports, financial distress and crop loss pushed the farmer to take the extreme step. Soman's relatives said he had availed loans worth lakhs from several banks and defaulted on payments.
