Shiny, round pebbles, colorful stones, sand and wooden pieces could be used to make the terrarium more attractive. The planting mixture could be prepared by adding more cocopeat to grow the aquarium plants which require more wetness. However, to grow succulent varieties or cacti, the mixture should have the capacity to drain water as well.

The height of the container depends upon the length of the root. The plants should be trimmed regularly. The planting mixture and other materials should be dried well before assembling the terrarium. It could even be sterilized by washing them in pesticides.

The outer surface of the glass container should be kept clean by regularly wiping with a piece of wet cloth. If the tip of the leaves begin to dry up, then it indicates that the temperature inside the container is increasing. So, special care must be taken to prevent the glass bowl from breaking.

The price of a single piece of terrarium begins from Rs 1000. However, it may go up to Rs 20,000 depending upon the variety of plants, quality of the glass bowl and other decorations.
