Student police cadets come up with offline system to tackle challenges of virtual classes

Vithura: The student police cadets of the Government VHSS at Vithura in Thiruvananthapuram have come up with an offline tutorial system for students, who are not able to attend the virtual classes.

As part of the initiative, they download the telecast episodes, transfer these to tablets and hand over the gadgets to the students.

Motivational videos, counselling sessions, and lessons on various subjects, prepared by the student police cadets, are also shared as part of the offline education system.

The tablets were procured through the development empowerment project implemented by the state IT Mission in Kerala.

Vithura police station officers, including inspector S Sreejith, sub-inspector S L Sudeesh, and school community police officer K Anwar, are actively involved in the initiative. Teachers at the school have also fully backed the students.

They help the student police cadets in ensuring that deserving students get the tablets and arranging the lessons.

The Vithura school has taken the lead in successfully implementing several such projects.
