Panamaram: Minutes after a man died of heart attack at the hospital, his wife died in a road accident.
Mustaq Ahmed, 53, of Kaniyambetta in Kerala's Wayanad district and his wife Maimuna, 42, were the deceased.
Though Mustaq Ahamed was admitted to the Kalpetta government hospital after he complained of uneasiness, he died soon after.
Their relative Jamsheer then offered to take Maimuna and her son Ansar back home without informing them about the tragedy. En route Jamsheer decided to fill petrol and made way to the petrol bunk at Vellaramkunnu. Their car rammed a tipper lorry near Malabar Gold at Kalpetta town on Friday night.
Ansar, 19, and Jamsheer, 24, were also injured in the road accident. While Ansar has been admitted to a private hospital at Kalpetta, Jamsheer was shifted to the Kozhikode Medical College Hospital.
A daily wage labourer, Mustaq was a Mysuru native. Post wedding, he had settled down at Kaniyambetta.
His other children are Hyarunisa and Junaid.
