Sneha’s journey as an artist began in the youth festival venues of the Kannur University Inter Zone Youth FestivalKannur: Those who watched the super hit movie Eeda, directed by B Ajith Kumar won’t easily forget the authentic Kannur slang in which Aiswarya, the character played by Nimisha Sajayan spoke. It was Sneha hailing from Karivellur in Kannur who dubbed for Nimisha Sajayan in the movie.
The deep and powerful dialogues spoken in the Kannur dialect was in fact the soul of Eeda which realistically portrayed the politically charged society in Kannur.
Sneha’s excellent dialogue delivery in the Kannur slang earned her this year’s state award for the best female dubbing artist.
Sneha’s journey as an artist began in the youth festival venues of the Kannur University Inter Zone Youth Festival, where she won the prize for mono act for six consecutive years. She was also elected best actress twice.
A theater enthusiast, Sneha has acted in many plays. She had essayed a minor role in the Asif Ali – Biju Menon-starrer Kavi Uddheshichathu? Sneha said that she had applied for the chance to dub for Nimisha in Eeda after seeing an advertisement calling for dubbing artists. The award winning dubbing artist was then selected after an audition.
Sneha's parents, Padmanabhan and Jayanthi are teachers, wholeheartedly supported their daughter’s artistic pursuits. Her husband Naveenkumar is an engineer in Dubai.
Sneha who completed her post graduation in physics from Payyanur College is currently pursuing a B.Ed at the Jaybees Training College in Kuttoor.
