Balabhaskar's friendship with a doctor now under a cloud of suspicion

The controversies surrounding recent death of violinist Balabhaskar have been doing rounds for quite a while. This began ever since his widow Lakshmi and driver Arjun gave contradictory statements to the police on who drove the vehicle that fateful night.

Now, a report regarding Balabhaskar's diamond ring has emerged.

According to reports, Balabhaskar had met an Ayurveda doctor on the sidelines of his programme in Palakkad. That meeting later blossomed into a friendship and the doctor reportedly gifted him a diamond ring. As the friendship grew strong, Balabhaskar is said to have made a big financial investment with the doctor.

Reports are rife that Balabhaskar's father CK Unni wanted the police to look into Balabhaskar’s financial dealings with this doctor who heads an Ayurveda resort at Cherupalassery in Palakkad district.

Driver Arjun who drove the car on the day of accident is said to be this doctor's kin.

Balabhaskar and his family had booked a room in Thrissur and had planned to stay over that night. But Balabhaskar had suddenly cancelled the trip and started towards Thiruvananthapuram at night itself. The musician's family is now seeking to know why they urgently travelled to Thiruvananthapuram.

Earlier, Arjun told the police that Balabhaskar had been driving the car when the accident occurred and on the other hand Lakshmi said that her late husband was in the rear seat while she and daughter Tejaswini sat in front.
