‘Best in the world': Suhasini wishes dad-actor Charuhasan on his birthday

Actor Suhasini, known for her work in Tamil and Malayalam cinema, recently celebrated her father, veteran actor Charuhasan’s, 96th birthday at his Chennai residence. In a heartwarming gesture, Suhasini shared a touching video of herself singing a birthday song for her father. The clip also captures a sweet moment where she asks Charuhasan what he would like to say to his friends on his special day. His response was filled with gratitude, as he expressed how blessed he feels to have lived a joyous life surrounded by good friends and, most of all, to be with his beloved daughter.

Charuhasan, the older brother of Tamil film legend Kamal Haasan, has had an inspiring journey. Though he initially pursued a career as a Supreme Court lawyer, Charuhasan entered the film industry in his 50s. Over the years, he has acted in over 150 films, making a mark across South Indian cinema. In a previous interview with Times of India on his 95th birthday, Charuhasan shared that he spent many years studying at home under the guidance of his parents before pursuing formal education. He has also spoken of the significant influence Periyar E V Ramasamy had on his life.
