Monday Motivation | Ansiba on celebrating each moment of life

Ansiba is easily identified after her role in the movie Drishyam where she played the role of Mohanlal's daughter.

Having done about 15 films both in Kollywood and Malayalam, Ansiba confesses that she never wished to be in the limelight.

"It was my mom who was really crazy about films and forced me to do films. It was for her happiness that I acted in them. After studying Islamic studies at a girls-only college, I had my inhibitions about entering into the world of glitz and glam. I didn't even have any kind of formal training in dancing or acting as such. But today, I love the fame that has come my way through the films I did.

''After doing Drishyam, people started recognizing me and they'd say “You are the Drishyam girl, right?” It made me very happy. It has really lifted my spirits and boosted my confidence. At the same time, people still think I’m a class 10 student; I often correct them and tell them that I am almost a graduate now. I like to be part of commercial cinema, but looks like people haven’t been able to get over my role of Anju in Drishyam. I keep telling everyone that my name is not Anju but Ansiba.

''I think that in itself is a big compliment. I have learnt many things after coming to movies. I think one should enjoy and celebrate each moment of one's life. I go shopping, hang around in malls and enjoy the anonymity that a crowded place gives me.

''Motivating others is a big thing, and I am not sure if I am even a grown up mature enough to do that! In this festive season all I can say is that the beauty of Kerala is that we are united in diversity. Eid Mubarak and Happy Onam to one and all.''
