Gopi Sunder flaunts his SSLC failure on Facebook

Gopi Sunder took it to Facebook to express his solidarity with the students who failed in SSLC exam.

The hullabaloo over the flaws in SSLC results is at its peak in Kerala. The pass percentage, as of now is 97.99 and the remaining 2.1 per cent of students might be feeling low after they failed to clear the hurdle.

That is when music composer and singer Gopi Sunder took it to social media to express his solidarity with that 2.1 per cent of students.

The musician posted a photo of his SSLC marks card on his official Facebook page. Mind you, it's not any rank holder certificate! Sunder's certificate of 1995 showed that he failed in the exam, scoring 200 marks when the pass mark was 210.

Dedicating the his certificate to the students who failed, Gopi posted, “My inspiration, my turning point (dedicated to students who failed sslc) it's just a start guys, rock on, follow your heart.” (sic)

Comments flooded in and many took a dig at the musician, who have openly admitted in interviews that some of his numbers are inspired by other musicians' tunes from across the globe, over his failure. The comments mocked at Sunder saying that he could not 'copy' in the exam to score the pass marks as he does in his movies.

A cool-headed Sunder posted then, "Wow how many comments ?? How many likes. Thats enough dears. Some friends may not like openness, I ment this post to b an inspiration for whom all r failed in sslc exam. (it not a plat form to discose about my copying skills) am trying to give a mental support fir the students who failed. Try to understand the pain of failures,n b an inspiration to overcome it. Let's discos about it." (sic)

The National Award-winning musician has composed music for more than 5,000 advertisements, programmed music for many major composers and set tunes for nearly 50 films to date.
