Actress 'Kaadhal' Sandhya, who won hearts with her performance in Tamil film Kaadhal, turned a mother of a baby girl and that too, on her birthday, making it a double delight for the star and her family.
Sandhya is well-known to the Malayali audience through movies Traffic, Cycle, Three Kings, Vettah etc.
Sandhya is on cloud nine as her precious baby was born on the September 27, sharing her birthday, just as she wished.
Sandhya's close friend and Tamil actress Suja Varunee shared a few photographs of the baby and mother via her Facebook account. Sandhya is married to Venkat Chandrasekharan, who is the owner of an IT firm in Chennai. The couple got married in last December.
Their marriage ceremony took place at Guruvayur temple in Kerala amid the hustle of last year's Chennai floods. Even though the family had intended to celebrate the wedding in a grand fashion, the plan was dropped eventually. A good sum the families had kept to be spent on the marriage was given away to those affected in flood.

The bride's family was stuck in the sixth floor of their flat in Vadapalani, Chennai in the floods. Their car, loaded with goods for the function, failed to start as the water level rose up to the engine. The family had to then hire someone to push the car for about half a kilometer, away from the water from so that they could start the car.
