Superstar Mohanlal has managed to breathe new life into the Dubsmash craze among moviebuffs in Kerala with a video of his own.
The selfie video, shot by Mohanlal's friend and businessman Sameer Hamsa, has the actor appearing in his iconic Sagar Alias Jacky avatar from the 1987 superhit Irupatham Noottandu.
When Sameer, pitching in for the character played by Ambika in the film, asks Mohanlal his name, the veteran replies Sagar Alias Jacky in trademark fashion before breaking into a smile.
This is the first time that a Malayalam superstar is featuring in a Dubsmash video.
Amala Paul was the first mainstream Malayalam actor to join the Dubsmash rage, when she posted a Minions-inspired clip back in April.
