Kottayam: Amid nationwide debates over celebration of the International Yoga Day, actor Mohanlal came out in support of those who are against linking yoga with religions.
He said he felt sad about the controversies over the decision to include yoga in school curriculum. Like on several earlier occasions, Mohanlal expressed his views through his popular blog.
In his blog post titled Yoga: Manasinum mathangalkkum appurathekk (Yoga: Beyond mind and religions), Mohanlal wrote: 'As an Indian, I feel proud about the world recognising the scientific healthcare system designed by the ascetics of India in an ancient age where nothing like nations, political parties, religions and religious leaders existed.'
'Swamy Vivekananda's vision that India will guide the world is coming true,' Lal wrote.
He said he was mesmerised by the depth of the great programme on many occasions.
He concluded the post by urging not to mix religion with at least great thoughts and inventions.
