Rahmaniacs, your wait is over and the songs of director Mani Ratnam's much awaited 'O Kadhal Kanmani' (OK Kanmani') are out! As expected, the music has become the talk of the town in no time.
The album, composed by music maestro A.R. Rahman, was directly released online on Sony Music's YouTube page. The tracks are available for download on iTunes.
The soundtrack has nine songs, all written by Vairamuthu. The songs have been crooned Dinesh Kanagaratnam, Darshana, Shashaa Tirupati, Karthik, Jonita Gandhi, Sathya Prakash, KS Chitra, A.R. Ameen (Rahman's son) and the composer himself.
Fans are going crazy over the numbers and claim that Rahman has once again proved why he is the best as his tunes continue to charm the audience.
Coming to the songs, it is Rahman's little one Ameen, who has recorded the traditional 'Maula Wa Sallim' song. 'Naane Varugiraen' is another song, to which Rahman gives his magical touch with a tune that can only come from his soul.
'Mental Manadhil' was the first song released as part of the teaser of Mani Ratnam’s romantic-drama. The visuals look rich, thanks to the exceptional cinematography coupled with the refreshing music.
The fans have been waiting for April 4 ever since the release of the music was announced in 35-seconds video clip that also gave out the complete track list.
Justifying the hype associated with the Mani-Rahman combo's flick, within hours of the audio release, social media is going gaga over the songs.
Starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead, 'OK Kanmani' is said to be Ratnam's proper comeback to the romance genre after a decade.
After going from one date to another, it is also confirmed that the movie is slated for a release on April 17, entertainment industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai tweeted on Saturday.
