August 22 is going to be the D-Day for hit Malayalam filmmaker Alphonse Puthren as it is on this day that he will marry Aleena Mary Antony.
Aleena, who is pursuing her masters in Chennai, is the daughter of producer Alwin Antony. The betrothal would be held in Kochi on August 17, while the wedding is on August 22.
Alwin Antony said that the wedding was fixed after consulting with both families.
A native of Aluva, Alphonse is the son of Puthren Paul and Daisy Chacko.
Alphonse, who was obsessed with movies from his childhood, did his studies in digital filmmaking in Chennai. He did not assist anyone before making his debut as director with Nivin Pauly-starrer 'Neram' in 2013. He repeated the success story with his 2015 blockbuster 'Premam' which had Nivin playing the lead role again.
