The Kerala Police, who are investigating the pirated version of 'Premam' spawning on the Internet, is coasting towards the conclusion that the film must have been leaked by some of the crew members. That is reportedly the reason why Anti-Piracy Cell decided to interrogate the crew members of the film and filed a case on charges of cheating.
The film's producer Anwar Rasheed has been asked to appear for interrogation on Monday. Details on who all had copied the film and who all are in possession of the film can be known only if the producer of the film is quizzed, the police said.
The director and editor of the film Alphonse Puthren will also be questioned as part of the investigation.
The crew had been raising charges that the film was leaked from either Censor Board or the mixing studio. There were also allegations that the offenders are at large due to the negligence of the police. The probe into the issue reached a turning point as strong indications that the film was leaked from the crew members started coming in.
It remains to be seen whether the film that has been earning multitude of laurels will head for the path of incurring an everlasting stigma.
