In hot news coming in for Rajinikanth fans, it seems that the Superstar's next film will be by hitmaker director Shankar.
No official word has been made on the project yet but the news is taking its rounds in Kollywood circles after an entertainment journalist tweeted that the actor-director duo is likely to work together again.
Rajinikanth has acted in two Shankar films so far—'Sivaji' (2007) and 'Enthiran' (2010) - and both of them were big hits. There were earlier rumours that they would be teaming up again for Enthiran 2. However, the new project is not going to be Enthiran 2, reports said.
A.R. Rahman, a Shankar's regular, will be composing music for the film. Lyca Productions, which had produced Vijay's 'Kaththi' is likely to be the producer for this big budget flick.
Names of filmmakers A.R. Murugadoss and K.V. Anand were featured in earlier reports suggesting that one of them would be directing Rajinikanth's next film.
Shankar's last film was the hit 'I' with Vikram and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. Rajinikanth's last outing was 'Lingaa' which turned out to be a failure at the box office.
We will get to know more details once the makers make it official. Keep checking this space for more updates, it's the super combo of Rajini-Shankar-Rahman again!
