Kollam: Malayalam actor Saikumar's divorce petition has been rejected by a court here. Kollam family court on Saturday rejected the actor's plea seeking the permission to divorce his wife Prasanna Kumari, a theatre artist.
The petition was rejected by Judge Ajith K Haasan after Saikumar failed to appear in the court for the hearing.
Saikumar married Prasanna in 1986. The couple were living separately since 2008. The couple's only daughter Vaishnavi is living with her mother.
Earlier, the court had demanded Saikumar to pay Rs 33,000 each month for his wife and daughter to meet their expenses.
