Kochi: Malayalam actor-director Sidharath Bharathan, who was seriously injured in a car accident, responded to his mother actress KPAC Lalitha on Sunday, after over 30hrs post-accident, giving hints that his body is reacting positively to the treatment, sources close to the actor said.

Doctors at the Medical Trust Hospital had earlier said that Sidharth would be under observation till Monday, after which they will determine whether the 32-year-old filmmaker has passed the critical stage.
"Sidharth has to undergo surgeries on his limbs but he has to regain consciousness on his own. Only then, the doctors can go ahead with the surgeries," the source said.
The accident had caused internal bleeding in Sidharth's brain.
Sidharth was critically injured after his car crashed into a roadside wall near Kochi around 2.00 am on Saturday.
Sidharth, who suffered a serious head injury in the accident at Chambakkara, was rushed to the hospital immediately.
Sidharth, is the son of legendary Malayalam film director late Bharathan and actress KPAC Lalitha.
