Vishakha Singh stands up against 'social' lechers

Even after multiple 'clear the stage' signals by celebrities to lechers of social media, nothing seems to stop online perversity.

The latest one to meet this social problem was Bollywood actress Vishakha Singh and she fought it off with style and boldness that won applauds from her colleagues, fans and media. However, she deleted the post to put an end to the matter or negative publicity in her words.

For a picture posted by Vishakha Singh on her Facebook page, in which she was seen wearing a graffiti t-shirt that read Everybody is somebody’s foreigner, one man commented “Nice looking and nice b****.

A controlled Vishakha stood up strong and told off the person. She replied to the person: “Mr MD Mustakim Saifi, 1) remove that innocent child’s picture as your dp. 2) have the guts to put your own profile picture. And then comment.

She continued: “I know i am a woman.. And for your general knowledge, Yes, All women have breasts. Your mother, sister, wife, grandmother, aunts, daughter, friends. All of them included. Do you walk up to them and say ‘nice b***s’? Feel sorry for you. Have the guts to say it on my face?? Else, get off my page.

Another visitor on her page had his own opinion on the graffiti placement on her t-shirt and felt compelled to say that “the position of it wasn't right”. Vishakha drew out a clear picture for him and said: “Well, Vikas Singh, You look educated. Where do you think a quote on a T-shirt be? Shoulders? Arms? Stop making such juvenile comments. If you derive childish pleasure out of the fact that it's on the chest area, then god help women and women safety issues._”

Vishakha Singh has been part of the film industry since 2007 and has starred in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada. The actress popular for her character in the Hindi flick Fukrey has also acted in the Malayalam movie, Motorcycle Diaries in 2014.

She later posted a comment stating that she deleted the post. "Deleted the post that went viral. Not afraid of anyone but simply tired of unwanted negativity. A big thanks to all those who supported", wrote the actress on her FB page.
