Fidaa movie: audience review

A still from the movie

Sai Pallavi, who mesmerised audience with her subtle performance through Premam, has finally swooned Tollywood as well.

Her Telugu debut Fidaa with actor Varun Tej is receiving positive responses from viewers. The movie directed by Sekhar Kammula is an out and out love story. It seems after basking in hat-trick successes this year with Shatanamam Bhavathi, Nenu Local and Duvvada Jagannadham producer Dil Raju is all set to strike four in a row with Fidaa.

Interestingly, Sai Pallavi is seen dubbing for herself for the character of Bramharambha.

Plot: Varun (Varun Tej), an NRI residing in US visits India with his family to find a suitable girl for his brother. A match is fixed between Bhanumati (Sai Pallavi) and Varun’s brother. As marriage arrangements take place Bhanu and Varun develop feelings for each other. What happens then forms the crux of the story.

Here are the positives and negatives of the movie:

Plus

» Sai Pallavi's realistic acting

» Simple and feel-good story

» Emotional play from the director

Minus

» Slow narration

» Unconvincing climax

» Over dramatic sequences
