A still from the movie

Movie buffs in Kerala are celebrating Mammootty's Kasaba. The strong points according to them are the script, crispy dialogues and a towering presence from Mammootty.

♣ Halfway through, Kasaba is gathering raving reviews from across the state. According to fan reports, Kasaba is houseful even in platinum multiplexes.

Some others, however, felt that the script could have been a bit more tight as it is predictable. But they also echoed one fact, that Kasaba is an end-to-end Mammootty entertainer, a movie for the fans.

♣ Mammootty and his CI Rajan Zachariah are playing from their strengths. After a rocking first half, they send the second half ratings soaring with a massive fight sequence.

♣ Mammootty fans feel more than contented with Kasaba, as their wait for a mega hit from their superstar has been answered - the divine intervention is that it's a cop movie from Mammootty, who is termed as the most dashing star in a police uniform.

♣ Meanwhile, Kasaba brings traffic to a stand still in Changanassery.

♣ We close off the FDFS report with a crude translation of one of Rajan Zachariah's punch dialogues.

“Learn to eat using your left hand before raising your right one on me,” CI Rajan Zachariah warns his haters.

Yeah, we know it sounds better in Malayalam, still :)
