'Tamasha': Audience review

With bated breath was Tamasha awaited since the countdown began, and finally the release of excitement! And it sure looks like the movie is reeling out some great fun and some tear-jerking moments for the benefit of all lovers of the lead pair, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor.

The movie has opened to largely positive reviews with the audience going ga-ga over the direction, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, and not necessarily in that order.

The music for the movie, scored by A.R. Rahman, is already up the charts at the top. Variety in compositions that has always been the hallmark of the maestro is in full swing here.

The movie is gathering all attention for its magnificent shooting location in Corsica, France. The blue waters and the reefs against the backdrop of two talented actors are a sure-shot treat to watch.

Followers of the Imtiaz Ali mode of direction seem to have taken to the movie big time. 'Fresh' and 'great moral behind the story' are some of the catch phrases here. Looks like the love story has something novel to offer.

And of course, the lead pair! Ranbir-Deepika seem to be making more waves than what they did for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, their previous outing together. Their chemistry, the talking point of Tamasha, apparently sizzles on-screen.

Praises galore for Ranbir Kapoor who has been facing back-to-back failures at the box office. He is back with a bang, if reports are anything to go by. The actor, whose calibre seems to have been fully recognized by director Imtiaz Ali, seems to have swept the audience off their collective feet!

Imtiaz Ali seems to be following his own unique style of filmmaking, which is being widely appreciated. Not the one known to make box office duds, Ali seems to have scored an A+ this time around as well.
