Since past few days, a video of timber worker Rakesh Unni singing the song 'Unnai Kannamal' from the Kamal Haasan starrer has been doing rounds on social media.
When Gopi Sundar shared his video, least did he expect to get a call from Ulaganayakan Kamal Haasan.
On Tuesday, another video surfaced online where he is seen singing the song before Kamal Haasan.
Rakesh was all smiles as he rendered the song and Kamal Haasan looked cheerful and applauded the Internet sensation. "He is a true talent, a miracle indeed," said Kamal Haasan.
The timbre worker from Noornad, Alapuzha also revealed how singer Shankar Mahadevan, who had sung the song in the film, called him and appreciated him.
Recently, the composer had tweeted: "This is called fruit of labour. When we hear this, it just makes me feel so so proud of our country that produces so much talent and is so rich in culture."
Unni, apparently overwhelmed by his meeting with Haasan, said he "did not know what to say."
He recalled he had gone to have some water where he was asked to sing by a 'driver', and that the video had later gone viral.
Meanwhile, a release from Haasan's party, Makkal Needhi Maiam, said Unni was a 'hardcore fan' of the actor.
