Why SRK loves this 'Chaiyya Chaiyya' mashup

A still from the video

Chaiyya Chaiyya from Dil Se is one of those songs which will always find its way back to our playlists. Composed by A.R. Rahman and sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Sapna Awasthi for the 1998 Mani Ratnam film, Chaiyya Chaiyya will forever remind us of Malaika Arora's seductive moves and Shah Rukh Khan dancing away to his heart's content on top of the train as it chugs along a picturesque background in Ooty.

Over the years, there have been a thousand remixes of this song and we have tapped our feet to the good ones in them.

Enter Kurt Hugo Schneider, an American video editor, musician and song writer. And he has thrown in a couple of artists to come up with this ultimate mashup video. A perfect blend of Michael Jackson's Don't Stop and Chaiyya Chaiyya. Take a look.

This one was shot in India, with Sam Tsui, another Internet celebrity, singer Vidya, musician Shankar Tucker on clarinet and Kurt Schneider himself. The video is trending on social media with none other than SRK endorsing it. Here is what the Bollywood star had to say.

The 3-and-a-half-minute video has received over 1.5 lakh views on YouTube in such a short span.

The only things we miss in this mashup are the sexy Malaika Arora and the train!
