Music composer Ilayaraja on Sunday got into a minor scuffle at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport after he was allegedly denied entry over a 'prasad'.
According to reports, the incident occurred after authorities denied him permission to board the flight with 'prasad', which he was carrying.
Ilayaraja was flying Chennai with his family after a visit to the temples of Mangaluru, when he was stopped by airport security after some broken pieces of coconut showed up in the airport's security scanner.
Ilayaraja's son Karthik Raja started taking pictures of the security officer with his phone which allegedly angered the official.
Karthik Raja even told the officer that the ‘prasadam’ was earlier cleared by the security personnel on duty at Mangaluru airport and there were no unpleasant scenes there.
It was only after about an hour of argument that senior officials stepped in and ended the scuffle.
