Kottayam: The second season of the Sing Out Loud carol contest has arrived. This contest gives an opportunity to those choir groups who want to portray their talent to the rest of the world.
Choir groups, all around the globe, can participate in the contest by uploading their videos here or by sending CDs of their rendering to Onmanorama. Entries for the contest will be accepted from October 20, 2014 until November 20, 2014. The finalists of the SOL Seasons 2 will be selected through online and SMS voting and the winners will be selected by a group of experts in the grand finale to be held in December.
The contest, conceived by Onmanorama, is an annual initiative aimed at encouraging carol-singing talents within and outside the country. The SOL Season 1 featured 120 teams.
Seven Bells Orchestra, Chengannur, won the first season of the SOL with Mar Dionysius Junior Choir, Mallappally, and St Antony's Church, Eloor, bagging second and third prizes respectively.
