Bhapa doi is a popular Bengali sweet delicacy which is extremely light and refreshing. This dish which has just three ingredients is very easy to prepare. The delicious bahpa doi's main ingredient is yogurt which is a summer essential.
Ingredients
1 cup yogurt
¾ cup condensed milk
¼ cup milk
Preparation
Pour yogurt into a strainer or a piece of clean cotton cloth
Keep it in the strainer or cloth for at least half an hour to drain the water
Mix this thick yogurt with condensed milk without forming any lumps
Add milk and mix well
Pour this into small bowls and cook in the steam for 15 minutes
Dry fruits or nuts could be added if required
After the bhapa doi has cooled down keep it in the fridge for at least two hours
The dessert tastes delicious and refreshing when served cold.
