Banana blossom-green gram stir fry grants you nutrition

Vazhakoombu or banana blossom-green gram stir fry is a tasty and healthy dish which is be served for 'Onasadya' (onam feast). Rich in fibre content and other essential nutrients, banana blossom is excellent to ease the digestive process as well. 

Ingredients
1 banana blossom
Salt as required
½ tsp turmeric powder
Coconut oil as required
200 gms green gram (boiled)
½ tsp mustard seeds
½ tsp rice
2 bunches curry leaves
3 dried chilli
1 cup grated coconut

Preparation
Chop the banana blossom finely
Add turmeric powder, coconut oil and salt as required
Mix well
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds
When the mustard seeds pop, add rice, curry leaves and dried chilli
Sauté well
Add the finely chopped banana blossom into it
Mix well
Splash some water, add salt and cook with the lid on
Add the boiled green gram, grated coconut and salt as required
Cook for some time before turning the heat off
