Healthy panikoorka pakoda

Panikoorka or plectranthus barbatus is a medicinal herb that is an excellent remedy for the seasonal flu and common cold. However, it is incredibly easier to prepare bajji or crispy pakodas using the panikoorka leaves. Here is the recipe of panikoorka pakoda.

Ingredients

Gram flour

Chilli powder

A pinch of asafoetida

Salt as required

Preparation

Prepare a thick batter by mixing the gram flour, chilli powder, asafoetida and salt with some water

Wash the panikoorka leaves and pat dry them

Dip the leaves in the batter

Deep fry in hot oil

Enjoy hot panikoorka pakoda with evening tea.
