Rava Idli

An interesting variation to the rice idli, this semolina idli tempered with mild spices is just as soft and tasty.

Ingredients
2 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 small onions, chopped
4 green chillies, chopped
1 piece ginger,
minced
2 sprigs curry leaves
1 cup rava/
semolina
1 cup beaten curd
1 cup water
Salt, as required

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and wait till they splutter
Add onions, green chillies, ginger and curry leaves to this and sauté. Add rava and fry well
Remove from the stove and when the steam goes off, add curd, water and salt. Make it in the form of idli batter and keep aside for an hour
Pour this into the idli vessel, and steam it like how you do for making rice idlis
Rava idli is ready and can be served hot
