Easy lemon pickle

Here's the easiest lemon pickle you can make right at home; all you need is wild craving, lemons and a beautiful jar, but let's keep that optional.

Ingredients
15 lemon
2 tbsp ginger, sliced fine
2 tbsp garlic pods
¾ cup oil
4 dsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
1 tsp asafoetida powder
12 green chillies
2 sprigs curry leaves
½ cup salt

Preparation
Light the stove and place the steamer with enough water
Once the steam starts to escape, place the lemons on the perforated plate
Close with the lid and let them steam for about 10 minutes
Open the lid, keep aside for the lemons to cool
Heat another pan and pour oil
Splutter mustard seeds and then toss in the fenugreek seeds
Now, put in the ginger and then the garlic pods
Throw in the green chillies as well
Saute until the raw smell leaves the pan
Add the curry leaves and turmeric powder
Add the red chilli powder and blend well until the gravy thickens a little
Take the lemons and cut each into 8 pieces
In a mason glass jar, layer some of the lemon pieces first
Now, scoop out the prepared masala and make another layer over the lemon pieces
Follow it up with a couple more sets of lemon pieces and the masala
Make sure the final layer on top is the masala
Keep closed for at least a week before trying this spicy pickle
