Bird’s nest baklava is an Arabian delicacy which can be easily prepared at home. This delicious sweet dish is cooked with very few ingredients. Kataifi or kanafeh dough, which is readily available in the supermarkets, is used to make the baklava. It is an amazing dessert to serve at your next house party.

Ingredients
1 packet (500 gms) kataifi dough
200 gms butter
Pistachios as required
For sugar syrup
2 cups sugar
1 cup water
1 tsp lime juice

Preparation
The kataifi dough and the butter should be taken out of the freezer and kept in the room temperature at least two hours before the dish is cooked.
The kataifi dough should be loosened into strands with medium thickness.
Melt the butter on low flame.
Grease the board or dish on which you are preparing the bird€™s nest.
Dab some melted butter on the kataifi strands and roll it tightly into the shape of a bird€™s nest.
Place the kataifi bird€™s nests on a greased baking tray and pour the rest of the butter on top of the nests.
Bake the bird€™s nest for 15 minutes at 150 degree Celsius.
Meanwhile, melt the sugar in water on medium flame.
Add the lime juice when the sugar is completely melted and boil for two more minutes.
Pour the hot sugar syrup immediately over the baked bird€™s nest.
Stuff the pistachios in the center and press lightly.
The sugar syrup elevates the flavor of the crispy bird€™s nest and the pistachios add texture to it.
