Crispy fried chicken mixed in a special sauce is a very popular dish in North Korea. The sticky sauce is packed with flavours and elevates the regular chicken fry to another level. Check out the recipe for the North Korean chicken fry.

Ingredients
½ kg chicken
1 tbsp garlic (finely chopped)
9 dried chillies (seeds removed)
Oil as required
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tbsp vinegar
¼ cup + 2 tsp corn flour
¼ cup water
1 tbsp mustard sauce
1 tbsp sugar
¼ tsp pepper powder
Salt as required
2 tbsp roasted peanuts
1 tbsp white sesame seeds
1 tsp ginger

Preparation
Marinate the chicken pieces with pepper powder, salt and ginger
Coat the chicken pieces in corn flour
Deep fry these chicken pieces in hot oil
Take them out of the oil when the outer part begins to get crispy
After 1-2 minutes, put them back into the same oil
Fry until the chicken pieces are cooked through
Meanwhile, heat 2 tbsp oil in another pan
Sauté garlic and dried chillies
Into it add soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar and mustard sauce
Mix 2 tsp corn flour in ¼ cup water
Pour this into the sauce mix
Add the fried chicken and coat well
Garnish with roasted peanuts and white sesame seeds.
