Instant bhatura

Bhatura is a soft and fluffy flatbread made with fermented dough and is extremely popular in the North Indian states. It tastes fabulous with spicy chana masala. Here is how you can easily make bhatura at home without fermenting it overnight.

Ingredients

300 gm all-purpose flour
50 gm semolina
3 tbsp yoghurt
¾ tsp salt
¾ tsp sugar
¼ tsp baking soda
2 tbsp ghee

Preparation

Take the all purpose flour, semolina, yoghurt, baking soda, salt and sugar in a bowl
Mix into soft dough by adding water as required
Keep the dough aside for at least half an hour
Make big balls and roll into slightly thick flatbreads
Fry in hot oil until all sides are golden in colour.
