Every chocoholic's dream come true, this moist, crumbly chocolate cake is mighty irresistible. Also, it is made easily, so just get your flour and eggs and whip up some magic!
Ingredients
50g cocoa powder
200ml boiling hot water
175gm plain flour
¼ tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
125gm butter
300gm castor sugar
2 eggs
Preparation
Line and grease the cake tray, which is preferably of 9 inches
Blend the cocoa with half the quantity of water until smooth
Stir in the remaining water and keep aside
Sift the flour, baking powder and baking soda together
Cream the butter, sugar and 3 tbsp of cocoa mixture until light and fluffy
Beat in the eggs gradually
Fold in the flour alternatively with remaining cocoa mixture. It may curdle at this stage, but not to worry, it will not affect the result
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 45-50 minutes until firm
Take out immediately and let it cool for 5 minutes
