Chicken ada and chicken samosa

Here is an easy recipe to prepare delicious chicken ada, a popular local dish, and samosa with the same flavoursome filling.

Ingredients
1/2 kg all purpose flour (maida)
1 tbsp vanaspati
1 cup shredded chicken (cooked after marinating with salt and pepper)
1 big onion
1 capsicum
2 green chillies
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp chicken masala
1 tbsp coriander leaves (chopped)
Oil as required
Salt as required

Preparation
Mix vanaspati into the all purpose flour
Add salt as required and water
Knead it well into soft dough
Heat oil in a pan
Add chopped onion, capsicum, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste
Sauté well
Add the shredded chicken
Sauté well
Add the chicken masala
Mix and cook well
Add chopped coriander leaves and turn off heat
Knead the dough once again and make lemon sized balls from it
Roll the dough into thin sheets
Place a spoonful of the previously prepared chicken mixture on the centre
Fold it and seal the packet by pressing the edges with fingers
Heat oil in a pan
Fry these chicken packets until golden brown
For samosa, roll the dough and make it into cone like shapes
Fill it with the chicken mixture
Seal the triangular packets
Deep fry until golden brown
Chicken ada and samosa taste best when served hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
