Spicy and tangy Singaporean chilli crab

The Singaporean chilli crab is touted as one of the national dishes of the island city-state. Cooked in a spicy and sour tomato-chilli sauce, many consider chilli crab as one of the most delicious seafood dishes.

Here is a unique recipe of the tasty Singaporean chilli crab which can add a touch of international 'repute' to your next house party.

Ingredients
500 gms crab
200 gms shallots (chopped)
3 red chillies (chopped)
2 tsp tomato paste
2 stock cubes
50 gms beans (cooked)
2 tsp hot sauce
2 eggs
1 tbsp garlic (chopped)
1 tbsp ginger (chopped)
Spring onion as required (chopped)
Parsley as required
Oil as required
Salt to taste
Pepper powder as per taste

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan
Add the cleaned crab and deep fry
Keep it aside
In another pan, heat some oil
Add the shallots, garlic and ginger
Sauté well
Add the chopped red chillies, tomato paste and stock cubes
Pour some water and stir well
Add the cooked beans and boil the mixture
Add the hot sauce and salt as required
Mix well
Add the fried crab into this mixture
Mix well
In a bowl, beat the eggs by adding salt and pepper
Pour the beaten eggs into the crab mixture
Stir well so that the eggs get coated on everything
Garnish with chopped spring onion and parsley
Serve hot along with some noodles cooked al-dente.
