Tasty chilli chicken fry

This restaurant-style chilli chicken fry is spicy and slightly sweet and tangy too. It tastes amazing with chapathi, appam and porotta. Check out the recipe.

Ingredients
300 gms boneless chicken (diced)
Salt as required
1 tsp pepper powder
½ tsp chilli powder
1 tsp soy sauce
1 egg
2 tbsp corn flour
1 tbsp all purpose flour
Vegetable oil to fry
For the sauce
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp chopped garlic
1 tsp chopped ginger
2 green chillies
1 onion (cut in square pieces)
1 bell pepper (cubed)
1 tbsp red chilli sauce
2 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 ½ tbsp corn flour + ½ cup water (mixed)
1 tsp vinegar
Salt as required
Chopped spring onion

Preparation
Marinate the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, chilli powder, soy sauce, egg, corn flour and all purpose flour
Keep aside for at least half an hour
Fry the marinated chicken for 3-4 minutes in hot oil
Set them aside
Heat oil in a pan
Add ginger, garlic, green chillies, onion and bell pepper
Sauté for 2 minutes on low flame
Into it add red chilli sauce, tomato sauce and soy sauce
Mix well for a minute
Now add the corn slurry and vinegar too
Mix again for a minute
Add the fried chicken and chopped spring onion
Give everything a good mix
Enjoy hot and spicy chilli chicken fry.
