Sunday special beef mappas to enjoy a flavourful weekend

What's a Sunday without some beef curry or mappas, prepared hot at home? Malayalis love to pair their beef dishes with everything, ranging from dosa and appam to rice, tapioca and more. This Sunday, prepare this yummy beef mappas rich with the goodness of coconut milk, team it up with your meals and rock the weekend!

Ingredients
½ kg beef
1 potato
1 onion
1 tomato
3 green chilies
1 tbsp ginger – garlic paste
2 tbsp coriander powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp fennel powder
1 cup first extract of coconut milk
1 cup second extract of coconut milk
Coriander leaves
Curry leaves
3 tbsp coconut oil

Preparation
Marinate the beef with salt, pepper and turmeric powder
Cook the beef in pressure cooker by adding some water
Heat coconut oil in a pan
Sauté cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, ginger – garlic paste, green chilies, onion and tomato
Now add all the powders
Sauté until the raw smell of the powders is gone
Add cooked beef and potatoes
Mix well
Add the second extract of coconut milk
Close the lid and cook for fifteen minutes
Into it add fennel powder and the first extract of coconut milk
Give everything a good mix
Finally add chopped coriander leaves too
Mix well
Turn off the flame before the gravy boils rapidly
Tasty beef mappas is ready!
