Special spiced buttermilk with the goodness of ginger and other aromatics

Everyone loves to enjoy rice and beef fry with a bit of moru kachiyathu or spiced buttermilk. Interestingly, this dish can be easily prepared even by those are not experts in cooking. Moreover, it contains a few ingredients that have medicinal properties. Here is how to cook this special spiced buttermilk.

Ingredients
1 small piece ginger
1 small piece dried ginger
¼ tsp mustard seeds
¼ tsp cumin seeds
2 green chillies
1 dried chilli
¼ tsp turmeric powder
¼ tsp pepper powder
¼ tsp cumin powder
¼ tsp fenugreek powder
Salt as required
Curry leaves as required

Preparation
Heat coconut oil in an earthen vessel
Splutter mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fenugreek seeds
Sauté green chillies, ginger, dried ginger, curry leaves, dried chilli, turmeric powder, salt, pepper powder, fenugreek powder and cumin powder
Into it add curd and water as required
Allow the mixture to heat up a bit
Make sure that the buttermilk doesn’t boil
Delicious spiced buttermilk that has medicinal qualities is ready.
