Toddler loses finger in rush to exchange money at bank in Malappuram

Malappuram: A one-and-half-year-old girl lost a finger during the rush in a bank by people to exchange expired notes and get new ones.

Jana Fathima of Muppalipetty at Muttikkadavu suffered the injury after her right-hand pointing finger got stuck between the door of the bank manager's cabin. The incident took place at SBT's Chunkathara branch Monday afternoon.

The girl has been admitted to a private hospital at Perinthalmanana.
