Malappuram: In a tragic incident reported from Malappuram on Tuesday, two schoolchildren drowned in a pond at Tirunavaya in Tirur. The deceased have been identified as Ashif, son of Beeranchira Mulakakapparambil Harris, and Arshad, son of Cheruparambil Shafi.
The incident happened when the teenagers stopped to take a bath while returning from school. The bodies were shifted to Aster MIMS hospital in Kottakkal.
