Parvathi Jayaram lends a helping hand to Kuttanad in misery

Alappuzha: Kerala reiterates that Kuttanad and surrounding areas will not be left alone to suffer the misery of the floods that have ravaged them. In support of Malayala Manorama's effort to help Kuttanad, actor Jayaram and his wife Parvathi donated clothes and drinking water worth Rs 2.5 lakhs to the needy. Parvathi herself visited relief camps on Wednesday to distribute the clothes.

Lulu Group chairman and managing director M A Yusuf Ali offered Rs1 crore for the Manorama “Koodeyundu, Nadu” (The state is with you) programme. The money will be handed over on Friday.

Kalyan Jewellers group chairman and managing director T S Kalyanaraman has offered Rs 50 lakh. Boby Books Exam Winner of Kozhikode has handed over Rs 1 lakh to Manorama.

Food and drinking water collected under the aegis of Manorama have been distributed at relief camps in Kuttanad. Those who wish to offer support to Kuttanad can join hands with Manorama.
