Vellarada, Thiruvananthapuram: A 33-year-old man has been arrested on charges of hiring a car and selling it off. Shiju of Kasargod Muttomkadavu is the accused.

He hired a car that costs Rs 18 lakh for a Rs 25,000 monthly rent and sold it to somebody else.

The car belonged to one Dipu, 33, of Aryancode. The rental agreement was made two years ago and Shiju paid Rs 25,000 each for two months. But he absconded after that.
