Kadakkal (Kollam): A man who liked to flaunt his connections with the local police has been arrested for calling cops names and stripping in the police station. Anil Kumar, 36, was apparently drunk when he turned on his benefactors.
Anil Kumar was always on the beck and call of the policemen at the station. He would run errands and buy food for the cops. He has a track record of manhandling people on the streets but he was always covered by the cops.
This week, however, he stretched himself a bit too far when he waylaid a civil police officer on his way back home from work. He then went to the police station and threw a tantrum, the police said.
He even showered expletives on the sub inspector, warning the officers that he was in good terms with their superiors.
He has been remanded.
