Kochi: A youngster from Kozhikode who was arrested for sexually harassing a minor girl was found to have stolen a motorcycle from Kochi. Fayaz stole the motorcycle from Edappally and used it to take the girl along with him.
Fayaz stole the motorcycle from a company showroom near the railway yard a few months ago, investigators learned while interrogating him in connection with the sexual harassment case. He had been going around in the motorcycle all over Kozhikode carrying a fake registration number.
The Elamakkara police took him into custody after registering a theft case.
Fayaz disguised himself as a DJ to woo the 16-year-old girl. He is also accused of tricking several other girls on social media. The police are looking into the role of another minor in the case.
Fayaz has been remanded.
