Actor Tovino lands at ailing boy's doorstop
Tovino, along with social workers Noushad Thekkayil, Riyas Kunnamangalam and Shaloop Khan visited KP Arun at his home in Morikkara.

Kozhikode: The ailing boy from Morikkara, here, never thought that his long-cherished wish of meeting actor Tovino Thomas would ever be fulfilled. But his favourite actor landed right at his doorstep! K P Arun woke up hearing a knock at the dead of the night and had to pinch himself to make sure that he was not in a fantasy world.

For long, Arun, an ardent fan of Tovino, has been confined to the four walls of his house after being diagnosed with a deadly disease called Hyper Mobility Syndrome. The film star, who was heading to Kochi after a shoot in Kannur, happened to learn about the boy’s great affinity towards him, and decided to call at his young admirer. Social workers Noushad Thekkayil, Riyas Kunnamangalam and Shaloop Khan also accompanied Tovino to Arun’s residence.

Arun has been leading a life full of agony as the illness gives him acute joint pain. The worst part is when the pain aggravates he loses vision for at least five minutes. The boy, hence, had to drop his schooling but devoted his quality time in building miniature models of vehicles, mostly of cars and lorries. He has also proven talents in sculpting and painting.

The illness has put huge financial liability on Aneesh Kumar and Sindhu who are struggling hard to meet the treatment expenses of their son. An organisation called BRCS has now stepped in to do its bit to help the boy.

The child prodigy's die-hard love for Tovino is evident from the countless collection of paintings of the actor. The actor spent almost an hour with Arun. The boy presented the actor a caricature model of Tovino which he had sculpted and treasured for long.
